The Elephant House Project places the dance and music of ancient South Asian worlds at the centre of making of new performance artworks. It brings together professional artists working in diverse areas of performance art and presents opportunities to explore the relevance and potential of cultural and intellectual linkage through ancient dance and music in a collaborative environment. Additionally, the Elephant House Project connects and exposes knowledge and invites interaction, to build an open-house model of artistic pursuit, connected disciplines and modes of access.
For one night only, Anil Srinivasan and Sikkil Gurucharan perform their spell-binding new music from the heart of India, accompanied by Lingalayam's stunning all-female Indian classical dance troupe.
